By using the information on the citation, and the War Diaries, we were able to find the exact location of Hairpin Craters.

They were situated near the Town of Lens, very close to a village by the name of Hulluch.

We have been as close as we can to this location, as today the area is still fields and quarry - in fact the whole area has changed very little regarding map layout - if you take a look at the original war map, then compare this with map of today, the roads are the same!

Sometime in the future we will take the time to get out and wander the fields in this area, along with the war map to see if more can be found from the ground.
